This album is dedicated to all of those who brought to Payson the American Veterans Traveling Tribute’s "Vietnam Memorial Traveling Wall" and made it a success. Members of the Payson Vietnam Traveling Wall Committee worked tirelessly and presented a moving tribute. The Tribute Wall is an 80 percent scale replica of the Vietnam Wall Memorial in Washington D.C. The Tribute Wall contains the names of all 58,219 service men and women killed or listed as missing in action during the Vietnam War. Attendance figures show that during the event, held June 5-8, 2008, approximately 26,000 people attended. The event started Thursday with a procession throughout town and down the flag-lined Main Street to Green Valley Park. Saturday began with a dedication ceremony that concluded with a flyover by the 162nd Fighter Wing. Great job and our hats our off to the wall committee! Photos are courtesy of a "Payson Patriot".
