Memorial Day 2010 was a banner time for the community of Payson and the high country region. Beginning with the Memorial Day Tribute at Payson's Pioneer Cemetery on Saturday, 29 May and completing the Mountain Meadows, Round Valley Tribute on Sunday, 30 May and the Memorial Day Tributes at the Mazatzal Casino and Payson's Green Valley Park, many American Patriots had the opportunity to observe the occasion by witnessing patriotic events highlighted by music, speakers and much more. A moving and heart-felt message was read at each event, sent by Arizona Senator John McCain. Many local citizens and visitors alike were exposed to what Memorial Day is all about. The weather was perfect, the attendees were record-breaking and the message was correct and proper.
